THERE'S A SECRET BEHIND CONSISTENT AI VIDEO CHARACTERS — AND ALMOST NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT I generated this monk and his dragon-horse steed as a single continuous 13-second shot. No cuts. The character never drifts. Most people think consistency comes from writing better prompts. It doesn't. It comes from writing the same prompt. The secret is locking your character into a fixed token block and repeating it word-for-word in every shot. Not paraphrased. Not "similar." Identical. Here's the exact block I used for the creature: "bone-white pale cream hide, an oriental dragon head with a backswept crown of ivory horns, long trailing whiskers, glowing amber-orange eyes, a powerful equine body with four hooved legs, and a long serpentine dragon tail" That string went into every shot untouched. What this fixes: - The character stops mutating between shots - Silhouette stays readable at any distance - You can generate out of order and still match - Re-rolls stay on-model instead of reinventing The other half nobody mentions: your negative prompt has to kill the model's instincts. A dragon wants wings. A rider wants a saddle. A monk wants hair. None of those are in my design. So all three got blocked explicitly — in the positive prompt AND the negative. Once the shot list got long, the negative alone stopped holding. Why this matters: - Your world stays believable across a sequence - You stop burning credits on re-rolls - You direct the model instead of negotiating with it It's not about better prompts. It's about treating your character description as locked code. Write it once, paste it everywhere, and let the camera do the changing. Full character sheet — every locked token, both characters, all angles — in the comments.
